There is something magical about Eastbourne's beaches that invite you to relax and enjoy. The charming pier, known as Eastbourne Pier, is like a smiling face welcoming you to entertainment, shopping and dining.

Yes, this was a beach town we liked, and it is easy to understand that this has attracted both Britons and tourists for many hundreds of years.

For the adventurous, Beachy Head is a short walk away – a majestic cliff that rises proudly from the sea and rewards you with breathtaking views. Explore the manicured gardens and enjoy the tranquility and beauty that surrounds you.

Every street in Eastbourne has a story to tell through its Victorian architecture and character. You can almost hear the echoes of the past as you wander through the cobbled streets.

Art, culture and joy go hand in hand here. Enjoy art exhibitions, music festivals and theater performances that add an extra spark to the city's pulsating heart.

Whether you seek adventure or relaxation, Eastbourne is the place to be. This can certainly be a memorable place to vacation. We were only here for one day, which we regretted when we had experienced Bournemouth. So our clear recommendation is Eastbourne.

Here you will also find a good selection of good restaurants and several good hotels. If you want to live cheaply, that can also be solved, just check online.

We ourselves stayed at The Mowbray, a simple hotel to test out different options and here the breakfast was a highlight. The hotel was only a stone's throw from the beach.

Next stop is a nice winery on the way to Stonehenge and Bath!
